Arlie Gale Lammers, 89, passed away on July 2, 2025, in Boerne, Texas. He was born on June 21, 1936, in San Angelo, Texas. Arlie served as the Pastor of First Christian Church of Kerrville for over five years, sharing his faith, commitment and guidance to his congregation.
Arlie was also a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving from 1955 to 1976. His commitment to service extended beyond the military as he was actively involved in organizations such as the Masonic Lodge, Elks Lodge, and American Legion, where he connected with many who shared his values and interests.
Arlie was predeceased by his father, Vernon C. Lammers, his mother, Nettie Mae Carlile Lammers, and his brother, Wendell Lammers.
He is survived by his wife, Kirsten "Kitty" Lammers, who stood by him for 22 years. Arlie leaves behind his son, Lance Lammers, and daughter, Kathreen Lammers, both of Chico, California. His legacy continues through his grandson, Cameron Lammers of Chico, California. He also cherished his time with his brother, James Lammers of San Angelo, Texas. Arlie’s family expanded with his step-daughter, Jeanette Raz and her husband, Johnny, along with their child, Dakota Maddox from Harper, Texas; step-son, Bjorn Palm, his wife Carey, and their children, Caigen and Cayleigh of Hunt, Texas. Additionally, he is remembered by numerous other relatives including nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial service to honor Arlie will be held 11:00AM, July 10, 2025, at the First Christian Church located at 1900 Goat Creek Rd, Kerrville, TX 78028. A reception will follow as an opportunity for all gathered to pay their respects and celebrate his life.
Arlie Gale Lammers will be deeply missed, but his spirit and values will live on in those who knew and loved him.
