Bobby Odell Searcy Sr.

Bobby O. Searcy, Sr. was called home by his Lord and Savior in the early hours of February 27, 2022.

Bob was born on October 17, 1936 in Bandera, Texas to George Avery (Monk) Searcy and Lucile Gray Searcy and was the oldest of 8 children.

He loved to reminisce of being raised in Bandera and always had fond and fun memories of friends and small town stories.  Having been raised in a music filled home, his love of music was always present. Family and friends have many memories of the entertainment he would provide with his guitar and his beautiful voice.  

He served his country in the military and was a proud veteran of the U. S. Navy.

Most of his adult years were spent in Meeker, Colorado with retirement bringing him back to the hill country about 16 years ago.

He was predeceased by his parents, his younger brother Danny, and his son, Bobby Odell Searcy, Jr.

Bob is survived by his wife, Macel K. Searcy of Kerrville; his children:  Cyndi Moody of Colorado, Mike Searcy of Colorado, Danny Searcy (Denise) of Pipe Creek, and Ramona Steadman of Round Rock; stepchildren: Trudi W. Schumacher, Jarri W. Super and Kolby Wright all of Colorado;  his grandchildren, Kacey Crawford (Kayla) of Colorado, Hank Avery Crawford of Colorado, Bobby Searcy of Colorado, Michelle Maguire of Colorado, Chance D. Searcy of Bandera, Alexa Searcy of Pipe Creek and his several great grandchildren.

Also surviving are his siblings: brothers: Tommy G. Searcy of Cleburne, Joe A. Searcy (Dottie) of Huntington, Jerry W. (Pat) Searcy of Uvalde, Ronnie C. Searcy (Rose) of Fruitland, Maryland, James C. (Jim) Searcy (Glenda) of Huntington, and sister, Janeen S. Covert (Joe) of Kerrville, as well as his nephews, nieces, cousins, and many friends.
