Bonifacia Hernandez

Bonifacia Hernandez, 79, passed from this life to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 30, 2014 at her home in Denver, CO. Bonifacia was born June 5, 1935 in Terlingua, TX. to loving parents, Ignacio and Luz Salazar.

Bonifacia, affectionately known as lil grandma was a single mother who successfully raised eight children. She was a homemaker, loving mother, grandmother, sister, tia, and friend to all who knew her. Bonifacia always accepted people with an open heart and a big smile. She had a special way of touching your heart without having to lift a finger. Even though she was physically the most fragile, she was also the strongest one of the family the rock and solid foundation that held us all together.

Bonifacia loved the lord and has gone home to be with him.

Preceding her in death were her father, Ignacio Salazar mother, Luz Ramirez Salazar sons, Jose Angel, Cruz Jr., Barney Hernandez sisters, Leonisa Davila, Simona Vasquez, Jovita Quintania brother, Luis B. Hernandez.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her daughters, Lollie Benito Alvarado, Cruzita Juan Cardona, Mary Fuentes, Estella Emilo Alvarez, Rose Dan Bender, Isabelle Billy Williams son, Cruz Debbie Hernandez sister, Michaela Martinez brother, Lucio Salazar daughter in law, Rachel Hernandez 21 grandchildren 43 greatgrandchildren 2 greatgreatgrandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews, loving friends and neighbors who will miss her dearly.

There will be a time of reflection and visitation from 5 9 PM on Saturday, December 5, 2014 at Kerrville Funeral Home, 1221 Junction Highway, Kerrville, TX 78028. A second viewing and visitation will occur from 10 AM 9 PM, with a Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6 PM on Sunday, December 7, 2014, also at the Funeral Home. A final viewing will occur from 9 11 AM, Monday, December 8, 2014 at Impact Christian Fellowship, 2031 Goat Creek Road, Kerrville, TX 78028 with Funeral Services to begin at 11 AM. Interment will follow the service at Guadalupe Cemetery.
