Brian Johnson

It is with great sadness that the family of Brian Lee Johnson of Kerrville, TX announces his passing on Monday, December 17, 2018, at the age of 58 in Kerrville.
Brian grew up in the Rio Grande Valley, where he was active as a Boy Scout and became an all-district fullback at McAllen High School. He attended the University of Texas Pan American in Edinburg, where he met his beloved wife, Cindy. After college, Brian worked in the oil field with Otis Engineering and Baker Oil Tools. He later made his career as a Border Patrol Agent, serving proudly for 21 years. After retirement, Brian fulfilled his lifelong dream of moving to the Hill Country, where he developed a passion for leatherwork and became a well-liked member of the community.
Brian will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 35 years, Cindy, his son Justin (Maggie) Johnson, and his daughter Keatha Johnson. He was greatly adored by his granddaughter, Florence. Brian is also survived by his brother Craig (Kathy) Johnson, as well as his sister Terri (Don) Drefke.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl Edward Johnson and Eleanor Ruth Becker, and brother Carl Lynn Johnson Sr.
A Visitation will take place from 5-7 PM on Friday December 21, 2018 at Kerrville Funeral Home, 1221 Junction Hwy. Kerrville.
A Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 22, at 11 AM, at the Zion Lutheran Church, 624 Barnett St, Kerrville, with Pastor Michael Williams officiating. Interment will follow in the family plot at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
