Daniel Tresnak

Daniel A. Tresnak, 76, passed from this life unexpectedly at his home in Kerrville Texas, on Saturday, February 18, 2023. He was born on June 12,1946, to Evelyn and Joseph Tresnak in Dodge, Nebraska.  He spent his early years on his parents’ farm until they moved to Lincoln, Nebraska when Dan was 16.  After graduating from Pius X High School, he attended the University of Nebraska where he attained his Bachelor’s degree. Dan resided in Lincoln until his move to Texas after retirement.

Daniel worked for State Farm Insurance for 39 years as a field underwriter.  He maintained his love for sports throughout his life, being a long-term ticket holder of Nebraska Husker football and baseball.  He loved to hunt with his favorite hunting dog, enjoyed snow skiing and going to a variety of sporting events with his buddies. Dan took pride in maintaining an immaculate yard. He was an avid golfer, and treasurer of the Comanche Trace Men’s Golf Association for the last several years.

Those who are left to cherish his memories are his wife, Mij; Sister, Jane (Richard) Krause of Austin, Texas; brother, Ron (Sondra) of Shell Knob, Missouri; brother, Brian (Julie) of Gladstone Missouri; and sister. Nancy of Kansas City, Missouri. He was a beloved person in the life of his many in-laws, nieces, nephew and friends.

A memorial service will be 11:00 AM Friday, February 24, 2023 in the main chapel of Kerrville Funeral Home, 1221 Junction Highway, Kerrville Texas.

The family has asked that in lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions be made to Bags-of-Fun Omaha, Nebraska.
