David Andrew (Andy) Andersen 90, of Ingram, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 18, 2018 in Kerrville. He was born on January 31, 1927 in Teaneck, NJ. Andy served in the US Navy during WWII and the Korean war and was a Merchant Marine for many years. He married his loving wife Fay on July 25, 1980 and they had many happy years together. Andy loved fishing with his sons, spending time with family and talking with all his distant friends on his ham radio. Andy will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Andy was preceded in death by his mother Caroline and father Charles Andersen, his brothers George, Charlie and Harold, sister Alice and step-daughter JoAnn Clark. He is survived by his loving wife Fay of Ingram, sister Carol Marshall of California, sons Charles Andersen (Doris) of Tow, TX, Andrew Andersen (Vicky) of Kerrville, TX, Clifford Andersen (Marlene) of Llano, TX, daughter Charlette of Fredericksburg, TX and David Andrew Andersen Jr. (Norma) of Ingram, TX. He is also survived by stepchildren, Shirley Trees (Bob), Diann Correll, Larry Collier, Sandra Willis (Richard), Sam Collier (Sophia) and Paul Glen Collier (Linda) all of Ingram. Andy is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren that loved him and will miss him terribly.
There will be no local services at this time. The family will have a private memorial to honor his life at a later date.
