Obituary

Dolores “Lolo” Castillo Aguero, 91, of Kerrville, passed from this life July 15, 2026 at his residence. Lolo was born March 19, 1935 to Joe and Francisca Castillo Aguero in Junction. Lolo grew up and spent his early years living in Junction.

Lolo married Janie Pruneda on July 6, 1963 in Kerrville. He liked archery, hunting, and fishing. He enjoyed travelling all over. Lolo knew many people and made friends everywhere he went. He loved watching western shows and movies. He played baseball and was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys and San Antonio Spurs. He and Janie spent New Years with his best friends in San Antonio, and greatly cherished those times.

Lolo is preceded in death by his parents, Jose Aguero and Francisca Castillo Aguero; siblings, Louis Aguero, Johnnie Aguero, Mary Perales; and his wife of 50 plus years, Janie Aguero.

Those left to honor his memory include his sister, Nora Valdez; son, Andrei Aguero, daughter, Kristin Aguero; nieces, nephews and cousins.

He will be dearly missed and remembered for his sense of humor, charm, patience, love for his family and a beer in his hand.

Graveside services will be held 1:00PM, Saturday, July 25, 2026 at N.E. Junction (Little Mexico) Cemetery in Junction. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be 6:00PM, July 24, 2026 at Kerrville Funeral Home.
