Dolores S. Rodriguez, 95, a longtime resident of Kerrville, Texas, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family and friends. Memorial services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at Kerrville Funeral Home Chapel, with Deacon Jimmy Bill officiating.

Dolores was born in Stanton, Texas. While visiting her mother in Kerrville during the 1940s, she fell in love with the Texas Hill Country and decided to make it her permanent home. She worked as a kitchen manager for the Schreiner family before beginning a career at the Kerrville State Hospital where she served as a Supervisor and Environmental Specialist until her retirement in 1992.

A longtime resident of the Doyle District, Dolores was loved by many and known for her warm heart and gracious hospitality. Her home welcomed everyone, whether near or far, and no stranger ever left without feeling like family. Dolores lived a beautiful life surrounded by the large family she cherished deeply and enjoyed every moment she spent with them.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her children and family: Carmen Garza, Guadalupe Silvas, Christine Rodriguez, Ernest Rodriguez, Sylvia Rodriguez, Susan Rodriguez, Daniel Rodriguez, and Joe Henry Rodriguez, along with 165 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, Jesus and Refugia Sierra Rodriguez; her siblings, Consuelo Rodriguez and Miguel Rodriguez; her sons, Roy Dean Rodriguez, Alberto Rodriguez, Jesse Rodriguez, and Richard Rodriguez; her sons-in-law, Edward Garza, Jesús Carabajal Silvas, Nathan Benson, and Zachary Brown; her daughter-in-law, Wanda Jones Rodriguez; and her grandsons, Estevan Jesús Silva and Chad Maddox.

She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Until we meet again, “Dios te bendiga!”
