Elia Alloy

Elia Cortinas Alloy, age 87, passed from this life on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at a local care center in Kerrville, TX. She was born June 14, 1929 in Del Rio, TX to Jose Cortinas and Lilia Garcia Cortinas.

Although she lived in Kerrville for many years, she always called Del Rio her home where she was a Drum Majorette for San Felipe High School.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Andres and Francisca Cortinas and Jose Maria Garcia and Adelaida Robles Garcia; her parents, Jose Cortinas and Lilia Garcia; her sister, Estela Cortinas; and her brothers, Ricardo and Rodolfo Ramirez.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Veronica Michelle Alloy and husband Oscar Campos along with grandson Hunter Vela; her son, Michael Alloy and wife Margie along with grandsons Aaron and Matthew Alloy; brothers, Jose Ramirez and wife Rachel, Daniel Ramirez and wife Edna, Alfredo Ramirez and wife Leticia, Armando Ramirez and wife Judy, Mario Ramirez and wife Sharon; sister-in-law Ana Ramirez, cousins, Loretta Magee and husband Fred, Gloria Tinti and husband Joseph as well as many nieces, nephews, and other family members who she cherished greatly.

The family will receive friends in the main chapel of Kerrville Funeral Home on Saturday, July 2, 2016 from 12 to 1 p.m. The Rosary will be recited at 1:15 p.m. with the Celebration of life services to follow at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Sam Ligon officiating. The family will have a private interment.
