KERRVILLE - Frank Felix Ordener, age 86, was born July 10, 1930 in Cache, Ok to Katherine Anna Huff Ordener and John Leo Ordener.

The youngest of seven children, he grew up near Windthorst, TX and graduated from Archer City High School. He became a barber and worked in Seymour, TX where he married Joy Jones in 1951. He served in the United States Marine Corps until 1953 when he returned to Seymour. His only child, Joy Janene was born there in 1954. He went to work as a game warden for Texas Parks & Wildlife in 1957 and worked in Bryan, while attending A&M. He also worked in Hunt, Canadian, Paducah and Midland. He worked for one year for Nevada Fish & Game before returning to Midland and purchasing the Town & Country Barber Shop in 1966, where he worked until he retired in 1989.

He married his second wife, Wyvonna Sowell in 1976 and moved to Kerrville in 2011. After becoming a Christian in 1951, he was an ordained deacon and Sunday school teacher of boys in grades 7-9 for many years and a member of First Baptist Church in Midland. After moving to Kerrville they moved their membership to the First Baptist Church of Kerrville.

He is survived by his daughter, Joy Janene Ordener Bostwick and her husband, Dr. James Robert "Bob" Bostwick, two grandsons, James Robert "Jay" Bostwick III and wife, Suzanne and Brian Frank Bostwick and wife, Genevieve, and two great grandchildren, James and Anna Katharine. In addition, he is survived by his wife, Wyvonna "Von", and daughter, Donna Graham and husband, Andy, sons Dean Sowell and wife Rebel and Mel Sowell and wife Treva. He also is survived by many nieces, nephews and step-grandchildren.

He was an avid hunter and fisherman all his life. He loved the scriptures about fishing and was truly a fisher of men as well, serving the Lord first and then loving his family. He was an inspiration to all who knew him.

A time of reflection and visitation will be held at Kerrville Funeral Home, 1221 Junction Highway, Kerrville, TX 78028 from 6 - 8 PM, on Friday, June 23, 2017. Funeral Services will be held in the Chapel of Kerrville Funeral Home at 2 PM on Saturday, June 24, 2017 with the Rev. Sam Ligon officiating.

Graveside services will be held at 1 PM on Monday, June 26, 2017, in the Goree Cemetery, Goree, (Knox County), Texas.
