Frank Thomason, Jr.

 

Frank Thomason Jr., of Center Point, passed away on September 10, 2023. He was the oldest son of Frank and Estelle Thomason. He was born March 28, 1941 in Conroe, Texas. Frank grew up on the family farm and ranch in Center Point which had been in his family since 1890. He was a graduate of Trinity University and worked 28 years at USAA retiring in 2000. Frank served in the Army National Guard and Center Point Volunteer Fire Department, Lions Club, and 14 years on the Center Point School Board. He was a charter member of Kerrville Baptist Men Disaster Relief organization.

Frank married Jan Vermillion in 1985 and were the proud parents of three loving sons. Jan passed away in 2020 after a lengthy and courageous battle with COPD. He is survived by his brother, John Merritt Thomason of Austin; three sons and their families, Craig and Jana of San Angelo, Blake and Heather and their sons Brady and Chase of Tomball, and Clay and Morgan and their daughter and son, Haley and Jordy, of Belton.

Frank was a long-time member of First Christian Church in Kerrville and the Emmaus Community. 

Graveside services will be held on September 23, 2023, at 10:00 AM at the Center Point Cemetery.
