Hans Reuther, 85, passed away peacefully after a long and full life. Born on July 23, 1940, in Kulmbach, Germany, Hans grew up with a sense of curiosity and adventure that shaped the path ahead of him. That spirit carried him across the world, eventually leading him to Greece, where he met the love of his life, Joan. They later married in Switzerland, beginning a partnership marked by deep devotion, laughter, and a shared love of discovery that continued until Joan’s passing in 2015.

Hans built an accomplished career, retiring as Vice President of Brewing Operations at Baron International, Inc. His work took him to many places, but travel was more than a job—it was a joy. Of all the destinations he visited, the island of Antigua held a special place in his heart, a place he returned to in memory and story throughout his life.

Though Hans and Joan had no children, he was rich in friendship. He cherished the friends he met across countries, careers, and decades, each adding warmth and meaning to his life.

He will be remembered for his kindness, his quiet strength, and the way he embraced the world with openness and gratitude.

Memorial services will be held 2:00PM, Thursday, May 28, 2026 at Kerrville Funeral Home.
