John McPeak


INGRAM �½ John Rodgers McPeak, 90, of Ingram, TX, passed from this life on February 12, 2016 at his residence in Ingram, TX. He was born to James William and Margaret (Fleenor) McPeak in Saybrook, Illinois.

John served his country honorably in the United States Navy from December 1943 until June 1946 during WW II, assigned to a Torpedo Squadron at NAS, Miami, Florida.

Marrying the love of his life, Delores McPeak, and spending their life together enjoying and raising their family, John retired as President of Rig-A-Lite after over 50 years in the electrical oilfield supply business. He so loved his �½Rock of Aged�½ in Ingram, TX, and spent a lot of time absorbing the beauty of it

John believed in God and His Son, family, and the USA; knowing that God will welcome him home gave him great comfort.

Preceding him in death were his wife, Delores McPeak; and his sons, Michael McPeak and Tim McPeak.

Those left to cherish his memories are children, Larry McPeak and wife Linda, and Shelly McPeak; grandchildren, Michael McPeak, Larin McPeak, Jeremy Barbo and Alyssa, and Clif Barbo and Crystal; six great-grandchildren; his brother, Bill McPeak; sisters, Sara Rose, Merry Ann, Jean and Joan; a host of many loving friends, neighbors, former co-workers and employees who relished and appreciated his kind heart.

John will be laid to rest next to his wife with a Graveside Service at
2 PM, on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 in Garden of Memories Cemetery, 3250 Fredericksburg Road, Kerrville, Texas 78028 with Chaplain Matt Melton officiating.

The family would life to extend a special �½Thank You�½ to Dr. James Young and the staff at Peterson Hospice for the loving care shown to our father.

In lieu of floral tributes, the family has expressed a desire that memorial donations be made to Peterson Hospice, 1121 Broadway, Kerrville, Texas 78028, or to the charity of one�½s choice.

Arrangements are under the direction and personal care of the professionals at Kerrville Funeral Home. (830) 895-5111
