Juan Piña Garcia

Juan P. Garcia, 78, of Kerrville, Texas passed from this life on December 3, 2023 at his residence.

Juan was born February 19, 1945 in Biry, Texas to Calletano and Dominga Garcia. He grew up in Hondo, and moved to Kerrville in 1981.  He married Maria Elena Garcia in Hondo on November 30, 1963.  Juan worked for Mooney Aircraft for 24 years in fabrication.  After a lay-off, he went to work for James Avery Craftsman in production for over 14 years.  He loved his cars; tearing them down and putting them back together again, and watching the races too. He was a devoted fan of the Spurs and the Dallas Cowboys. Juan especially enjoyed barbequing with his family every chance he was able.  Most of all he was a family man, loved by all.

Juan is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Nelda G. Cleveland; son, Johnny Garcia and many brothers and sisters.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Maria Elena Garcia; daughters, Sally Hernandez, Terri Garcia, Chrissy Garcia, Melissa Garcia; one sister, Irene Gauna; and numerous grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at the Kerrville Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Jimmy Bill officiating.  Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM, prior to services.
