Kenneth Charles Lewis

Kenneth “Ken” Charles Lewis, age 85, passed away from this life and went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 11, 2023, at a local hospital in Kerrville, Texas with his family by his side.

Ken was born January 13, 1938, in Waco, Texas to parents; Robert “Lee” Lewis and Ann Lizzy Lewis. He retired from the U.S. Air Force after 20 years of service. He married the love of his life; Helen C. Lewis on May 6, 1983. Ken was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Order of Eastern Star of Kerrville. Ken served as a Deacon at many local churches and at the time of his death; was a Deacon at the Open Arms Church in Ingram, Texas.

  He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert “Lee” Lewis and Ann Lizzy Sharp Lewis; daughters, Cynthia Lewis and Kathy Dutcher; and beloved wife, Helen “Kay” Lewis.

Those left to cherish his memory include; son, Kenneth E. Lewis of Waco, Texas; daughters, Debbie Bowen of Waco, Texas, Patty Chick of Waurika, Oklahoma, Susan Liley of Schertz, Texas and Phyllis Trammell of Center Point, Texas; 13 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

 The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Friday, May 19, 2023 at the Kerrville Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 PM, Friday, May 19, 2023, at the Kerrville Funeral Home.  Pastor Thomas Jeffers will officiate. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery with Air Force Honors.

 In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.
