Linda Simpson

Linda Kay Simpson, 67, passed from this life on Wednesday, April 30, 2018 at Brookdale Nursing Home, Kerrville, TX.

She was born on January 24, 1951, to James Clifford
and Betty Jo Keding in Fort Worth, Texas. Linda was a beautiful, bright eyed soul who sang and danced her way into the lives of those around her. She loved her mother, daddy and little brother; Chuck. She competed in the Miss Texas Pageant in 1969 and received the only standing ovation for her beautiful performance of "Swanny".
She met Robert Michael Simpson in 1968, they fell in love and were married in 1972. In 1976, they moved to Kerrville, TX where she opened an art store in Junction, TX. It was her goal to win at least one soul to the Lord every day.
She painted many works of art and dabbled in plasters. She loved creating, whether it was sewing her family clothing or playing Rhapsody in Blue on the piano. Above all, favorite thing to do was to praise the Lord.
In 1976 she had a daughter; Jodi and in 1978 a son; Ryan. She
was an amazing mother and was completely devoted to her children until 1980, when an unexplained illness took most of those incredibly beautiful abilities away. Instead of feeling sorry for herself, she chose to learn to walk and talk again. She never regained those abilities and for most of her life had to have help with almost everything. Instead of allowing herself to be bitter and withdraw, she chose to love and give all she had. Every day, she told her children she loved them and that Jesus loved them. Instead of blaming God, she took comfort in His word and chose to trust Him. Though she walked like a toddler; stumbling and falling at times, she modeled grace to the rest of the world that was watching her. She laughed at her mistakes and drew
us to her while making them. She was faithful with what she had been given.
She is preceded in death by her father, James Clifford Keding; and her grandmother, Ruby Valentine; and many other relatives that knew and loved her.
She is survived by her mother, Betty Jo Keding; husband, Robert
Michael Simpson; children, Jodi and David Carpenter, Ryan and
April Simpson; brother, Robert Charles Keding; grandchildren,
Samuel; Gracie; Lili; Brooke; Abigail and Landon.
