Lois Baker

Lois Lee Baker (Lolo), 86, passed away on 3/14/17 in Austin, Texas with daughter and friends at her side. Lois was born in
Coffeyville, Kansas and lived in that vicinity for 35 years and was a graduate of Coffeyville Community College.
It was there that she met her husband, Earl Dean Baker and gave birth to her three children; Brenda Sue, Mary Ann,
and Shadie Leland. Lois and Earl were married for 56 years. The family moved to Kerrville, TX in the early 1970's where
she was the secretary for the President of First National Bank (now Wells Fargo) until she retired. Lois' first passion was
her children but she enjoyed living life to the fullest and had many hobbies and interests including needlework, singing with
the Sweet Adelines, dancing, gardening, playing accordion, and volunteering for the Kerrville Tennis Association. She was an
avid reader and kept track of every book she read. She especially enjoyed playing cards with her neighbor and best friend, Sue.
She loved holidays and the opportunity to have her family together. She delighted in spending time with her grandchildren and
great-grandchildren, and was an amazing and dedicated grandma. She was also a member of the Notre Dame Catholic Church.

Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Baker; daughter, Brenda Sue Baker; father, George Benning; mother, Helen Benning;
and brother, Bill Benning.

She is survived by two of her children; Mary Ann Baker and Shadie Baker, two grandchildren, Cassie Baker and Sonnie Baker,
as well as three great-grandchildren; Samuel, Cheyenne, and Avery, but will be missed by many.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The American Heart Association.
