Lucina Escamilla

Lucina Escamilla, age 67 of Kerrville, TX passed away Tuesday, January 05, 2016 at a local hospital.

Mrs. Escamilla was born October 28, 1948 in Biry, TX the daughter of Calletano and Dominga Garcia. She grew up in Hondo, TX and in July, 1965 married Oscar M. Escamilla in Hondo. Mrs. Escamilla was a housekeeping supervisor at the River Hills Country Club in Kerrville for over 30 years and was a loving and giving mother, grandmother and friend.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her husband, Oscar, daughters, Margie Vallez and husband, John and Christine Olvera, son, Oscar Escamilla, Jr. and wife, Kristi, brothers, Lorenzo Garcia, Juan Garcia and Candelario Garcia, sisters, Antonia Rodriguez and Irene Gauna, 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Andres Garcia and Victor Garcia, sisters, Sarita G. Gonzales, Felice G. Perez and Apolonia Garcia.

The Holy Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, January 7, 2016 with a visitation to follow until 8:00 p.m. in the main chapel of Kerrville Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 8, 2016 in the main chapel of Kerrville Funeral Home. The family will have a private interment.
