Lynn "Wayne" Ference

Lynn Wayne Ference of Kerrville, Texas, passed away at a local care facility on Saturday, July 26, 2025.

Born in Gary, Indiana, on August 14, 1941, of Andrew and Mary Ference, Wayne grew up in southern California. He graduated from UCLA (B.A. in Psychology) and from U. of Southern California (M.A. and Ph.D. in Psychology). Throughout his career as an Industrial-Organizational Psychologist, he provided consulting services to both regional and multinational corporations.

In 1998, Wayne settled in Kerr County, Texas, to a schedule of volunteer work in several nonprofit organizations. He was an active volunteer at his church, filling various offices over several decades.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents. He leaves behind his beloved church family, who will cherish his memory and lovingly remember him as a mysterious, eccentric, and generous man.

Funeral services will be 10AM Saturday, August 16, 2025 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 204 Spence Street, Kerrville, Texas with burial to follow at Nichols Cemetery.
