Margie Deel

Margie ''Mickie'' Deel, age 92 of Kerrville, TX passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at a local nursing home in Bandera, TX.

Mickie was born October 29, 1923 in Sikeston, MO the daughter of William and Bessie Wilson. She married Robert ''Bob'' Deel in 1941 at Dilley, TX where they lived on and worked a 1440 acre ranch. 4 years later, they moved to Northern Arizona and opened The Grand Canyon Trading Post, Café, Souvenir Shop, Gas Station and Bus Stop. 20 years later, Bob and Mickie moved to a 1600 acre cattle ranch in the Ozarks. There she took care of the ranch, Bob and raised 3 sons. In 1992 they moved to Kerrville, TX to retire.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory are 3 sons; Robert of Murrieta, CA, William of Lake Hills, TX and Donald of Spokane, WA. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Bob in 2007.

Celebration of life services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 7, 2016 in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Kerrville, TX with Reverend Sam Ligon officiating.

The family request memorials in her name to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, 625 Washington Street, Kerrville, TX 78028.
