Patsy Ruth Hardman passed away quietly in her home surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, November 27, 2014 at the age of 82. By the grace of God and her faith in Jesus Christ, she is now at peace in her Eternal Home.
Born on June 12, 1932 in San Antonio, Texas to Marion and Ruth Everts, she was the 1st of 3 siblings.
On December 28, 1949 Patsy married the love of her life Robert Bob Hardman and together they raised three children and ran a successful business in Terrell TX. High school sweethearts, they were married for 65 years. They travelled the world together and volunteered extensively for their communities in Terrell and Kerrville.
Patsy worked as an Avon representative and other endeavors during her childrens school years, later earning her Associates degree in Accounting and working for Security Couriers as a bookkeeper. Patsys service for her community included Meals on Wheels, driving cancer patients from Dallas to San Antonio for treatment, and volunteering for the Kerrville Senior Games among many others.
She loved playing bridge and loved her bridge playing community, and was a member of 3 bridge clubs in Kerrville. She will be fondly remembered and missed by the Kerrville line dancing community in which she taught and participated in for over 20 years. Patsy and Bob the traveled the world extensively. Among their adventures, she and Bob took over 60 cruises together including one around the world on a container ship over a 94 day period.
Patsy stayed in touch with many of her high school friends and the alumni association at Sunset High School in Oak Cliff, attending her 64th high school reunion in 2014.
Patsy exemplified profound love of family and God, and is missed by all who had the honor of knowing her.
Patsy is survived and grieved by her husband, Robert C. Hardman brother, Allen Everts sister, Beverly Wickwire McKemie her children, Joe Charles Hardman, Steve Hardman, and Debbie McMahon 3 granddaughters, Stephanie Saucedo, Katherine Lauren Hardman three great grandchildren, Akira, Sarah and Nyka Saucedo and her loving dog, Sandy.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10 AM, Friday, December 5, 2014 in the Main Chapel of Kerrville Funeral Home, 1221 Junction Highway, Kerrville, Texas 78028.
The family has requested that memorial donations be forwarded to the charity of ones choice.
