Peggy Compton

Peggy Compton 77, of Kerrville and formerly of Riesel TX, passed from this life on Monday, May 3, 2021 in Kerrville.

Peggy was born June 25, 1943 in San Antonio, TX to parents Albert and Ada Treiber.

Peggy met Lawrence White Sr. her first husband attending Tivy High School.  They got married their senior year.  Lawrence joined the Army and was stationed in Cleveland, OH.  Lawrence passed away on December 25, 1968.

Peggy met Bill the week of Valentines Day and they got married March 3, 1970, in Kerrville TX.  They moved to the Riesel area in 1976.  Peggy spent many years at home taking care of their children.  She worked many years at Plantation Foods and eventually retired from the VA.

Peggy is preceded in death by her parents, Ada and Albert Treiber and husbands, Lawrence White Sr. and William “Bill” Compton.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sister, Laura Joyce (Leroy) Palmer of Spokane, WA; son, Lawrence “Tony” White Jr.; daughters, Relena Edmond, Crystal (Brent) Lampard, and Holli (Hank) Kruse; grandchildren, Amber (Merle) Bishop, James Behrends, Seth “grandkitty” Behrends, Alisha Stehling-Lampard, Alexis Stehling-Lampard, Donovan Hays and Nathan Hays; great grandchildren Madison and Julyen Bishop, James and Dominic Behrends, Michael Ellis and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

We would like to thank Mountain Villa Assisted Living and Alamo Hospice for the love, care and compassion they showed our mother and our family over the last five months.

A memorial service will be held at 2PM on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Kerrville Funeral Home, 1221 Junction Highway. A visitation will take place from 5-7PM on Friday, May 7, 2021 at Kerrville Funeral Home.
