Rachael King Raatz

Born October 19, 1967 in Bryan, Texas to Jimmy and Mary Ann (Jones) Raatz.  Rachael King Raatz, died surrounded by her mother and sister on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 in San Antonio, Texas.

Although she faced numerous physical limitations throughout her life, she faced each day with a smile and courage.  Rachael blazed a trail for others diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy.  

Rachael never met a stranger.  She trusted and loved with her whole heart.  She is God’s child and is surrounded by the love and peace of her Heavenly Father.  She is now free of her earthly body and is with her Father in Heaven.

She is preceded in death by her father, Jimmy Raatz, grandparents, Fred and Ruth Raatz and John and Ophelia Jones, uncle and aunt, James and Geraine Jones.  

She is survived by her mother, Mary Ann Raatz, sister, Tamara Raatz, uncles and aunts, Norman and Jan Peterson, Bob (Mike) and Jan Jones and many cousins and friends.  She is missed by her fur babies - Jack, Joy & Noel.  

The family would like to thank her doctors throughout her life for their care, wisdom and compassion.  

The family would like to thank her home health care giver, Natalie Perez, for her kind and loving care of Rachael in our home.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
