Ramona Mae Myers

Ramona Mae Myers, 89, of Kerrville, Texas passed from this life on October 30, 2023 at a hospital in San Antonio.

Ramona was born August 10, 1934 to Dennis Kale and Nellie (Jenkins) Gander in Gays Mills, Wisconsin where she also grew up.  Ramona’s first husband, Charles Robert “Chuck” Wangen was in the military, and she spent 20 years as a military wife.  She loved Hawaii and their time there; the island influence followed her throughout her whole life.  At one time she was a nurse’s aide at the Central Wisconsin Center, and in more recent years she was a cashier and greeter for Walmart spending 19 years in total with the company making many friends along the way.  Ramona lived life to the fullest and did it well.

Ramona is preceded in death by her first husband in 1993, Chuck Wangen; second husband, Raymond Myers; son, Kip Wangen; grandsons, Christopher Duvall and Thomas Scanlon; and great-granddaughter, Trinity Flannery.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Sonja Kluth, Robin Wayne, Terri Scanlon and husband Eddy; step-children, Melinda, Michael, and Michelle Myers; grandchildren, Chuck Kluth (Brenda), Dawn Sanderson, Bill Kluth (Sara), Daniel Anderson, Joseph Anderson (Wendi), Sarah Robinson (Art), Dustin Graber (Vannah), Morgan Gargulak (Stevie), Jason Scanlon, Scott Schmitt, Kassandra Scanlon (Thaddeous), Todd Schmitt (Tara); 17 great-granddaughters; 11 great-grandsons; many beloved nieces and nephews and friends.

Memorial services will be held 12:00 Noon, Friday, November 3, 2023 at the Kerrville Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sam Ligon officiating. A reception will follow at Kerrville Funeral Home.  Interment will be held at a later date in Wisconsin.
