In Loving Memory Of Ranulfo Rivera Lopez

Ranulfo Rivera Lopez was born on May 27,1953 in Palmar Chico, Mexico. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather whose life was defined by love, perseverance, and dedication to his family.

Ranulfo passed away on Tuesday, August 11,2026, after a long battle with Parkinson's disease.

In 1975, in Toluca, Mexico, he met the love of his life, Maurilia Yolanda Hernandez Rivera. They had just celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary. Together, they began a new life in the United States, first settling in Hunt, Texas before eventually making their home in Kerrville,Texas, where they raised their family.

Ranulfo is preceded in death by his mother, Pascuala Rivera Lopez; and his brothers, Jose Luis Sanchez and Innocent Pineda.

He is survived by his wife, Maurilia Yolanda Rivera: his children; Rigoberto Rivera and wife Joann Rivera, Rosa Gonzalez and husband Willy Gonzalez, Anna Herrera and husband Delfino Herrera, Walter Rivera, Hector Rivera and his pets Dante and Nismo. As well as his grandchildren, Ixchel, Mactzil,Josiel ,Adriana, Angelina, Carlos,Marley,Aubree, Aliana, and Favian. He is also survived by his great grandchildren; Owen Tamney, Julianna Alonzo, Karlamae Gonzalez, and Calvin Tamney. His brother Pedro Olascuaga.

Ranulfo will be remembered for his strength, sacrifice, and unwavering love for his family. As well as having a fun loving spirit, who loved to dance. He took great pride in building a life for his loved ones and watching his family grow across generations.

From his beginnings in a small town in Mexico to the life he built in Texas, Ranulfo's journey was one of determination and devotion. His legacy lives on through his wife, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, and all who were blessed to know him.

May he rest in eternal peace.

Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be 6:00 PM, Monday, August 17, 2026 at Kerrville Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM, Tuesday, August 18, 2026 at Notre Dame Catholic Church with Father Scott Janysek as celebrant; interment will follow at Guadalupe Cemetery. A reception will follow services at 2:00 PM, at the Kroc Center.

Pallbearers will be Rigoberto Rivera, Walter Rivera, Willy Gonzalez, Delfino Herrera, Carlos Gonzalez, and Ryne Tamney.
