Ruth Takach

KERRVILLE- Ruth L. King Takach, age 89, longtime resident of Kerrville, passed away on June 16, 2016. She was born to Ralph Larremore and Edna Pearl Strohl on October, 9, 1926. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Joseph E. Takach, her daughter Deborah Anne, and her son Joseph Takach III.

Ruth married Joseph E. Takach on Oct. 29, 1947. She attended nursing school in Cleveland, Ohio and was a practicing registered nurse until her retirement in the late 80s. She often worked nights so she could spend the days with her grandchildren. Ruth was a loyal and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her family and friends were her love and joy.

Ruth is survived by her two granddaughters, Carolyn Pearl Gravit (married to Michael C. Gravit) and Lorraine Katalin Roberts (married to Jason Roberts), and four great grandchildren who she adored, Molly R. Roberts (9), Natalie B. Roberts (8), Hope J. Gravit (5) and Ella J. Gravit (11 months).

The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for her over the last few months, especially Peterson Hospice. Donations may be made in Ruth's name to Peterson Hospice, The Blessing Fund at 1121 Broadway, Kerrville, TX 78028.

Funeral services will be held at Kerrville Funeral Home, 1221 Junction Hwy, Kerrville, TX 78028 on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 9:00 A.M. In honor of Ruth's favorite things, a coffee and donuts reception for family and friends will take place prior to the service at 8:30 a.m.
