Santos Villarreal

Santos V. Villarreal, 101, passed from this life on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at his home in Kerrville, TX.

He was born April 6, 1917 in Villa de Fuente, Coahuila, Mexico, to Benigno Villarreal and Petra (Valadez) Villarreal. Santos grew up in Mexico and married the love of his life, Concepcion Cortinas in 1939. He worked as a custodian for Eagle Pass High School for many years. In life he enjoyed spending time with his family and cherished his many grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Benigno Villarreal Sr. and Petra Valadez; brother, Benigno Villarreal Jr. ; sister, Dolores Valadez and daughter, Conchita Villarreal.

He is survived by his loving wife, Concepcion Villarreal; daughter, Miriam Gutierrez; three sons, Hector Villarreal; Omar Villarreal and Jaime Villarreal and one sister, Beatrice Fuentes. He will also be missed dearly by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 1 PM on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at the main chapel in Kerrville Funeral Home, 1221 Junction Highway, Kerrville TX 78028 with Deacon Raul Gutierrez officiating the service. Interment to follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery, 3250 Fredericksburg Road, Kerrville, TX 78028.
