Shana Musquiz

Shana Diane Musquiz of Harper, Texas passed from this life at the age of thirty on January 2, 2018 in Camp Wood, Texas. She was born November 4, 1987 to Patricia Cook in Uvalde and grew up in and around Hondo and D'Hanis, Texas.
Shana graduated from D'Hanis high school and joined the Army for four years, where she was awarded Good Conduct, National Defense, Korean Defense and Global War on Terrorism awards. While serving her country she attended college and continued her education after her honorable discharge. After the Army she worked at Hill Country MHDD and as a veteran was welcomed as a volunteer at the Harper Fire Department. She married Yvette Marie Gauna in Kerrville, Texas on November 11, 2015 and relocated to Harper.
Shana was an amazing person and always did everything that she could do to help other people. Shana loved all types of animals and wanted to build a farm or safari.
Shana was preceded in death by her Grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Gary and Victor Musquiz Sr.
She is survived by her spouse Yvette Marie Gauna of Harper, Mother Patricia Musquiz of Camp Wood, Brothers Patrick Musquiz of Harper, Samuel Musquiz and Michael Musquiz of Camp Wood, Sisters Kiara Thompson of Beaumont, Kiana Thompson of Lytle, Grandmother Diamantina Musquiz of Sabinal and Patty Putnam of Kerrville.
