Stephen Hamilton

Stephen Hamilton was born on May 22, 1963 in Hazel Crest, Illinois to William & Beverly Hamilton. He departed this life on Sunday, September 30th, 2018 due to a sudden heart attack.

Steve grew up in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Steve was a diehard Iowa Hawkeye fan and bled black and gold. He graduated in 1986 with a bachelor in communications. He fell in love with Susan Meshell Brown and they were married in Longview, Texas on August 22nd, 1987.

Steve was a very active member of the Kerrville Community. After meeting his wife at Texas Lions Camp, Steve joined the Sunrise Lions Club to benefit kids with physical disabilities. He was active in his church Emmaus group and met every Tuesday with his Reunion Group. When his daughters were at Tivy he was deeply rooted in the Golden Girls and Band Boosters.

He is survived by his spouse, Susan; their daughters, Kelli and Emma; nephew, Jason Melrose and his mother Beverly Hamilton.

He is preceded in death by his father, William Hamilton; brother in law, Denny Melrose and sister Sharon Hamilton Melrose.

Memorial Services will be held Thursday, October 4, 2018 at 10:00am at Kerrville First United Methodist Church, 321 Thompson Drive, Kerrville, TX 78028 with refreshments and fellowship to follow.
