Virginia Lee Billingsley
June 6, 1926 - December 31, 2017. Virginia was born in Dallas, Texas, and grew up in Houston, Texas. She married Robert E. Billingsley in July 29, 1950, and raised 5 children in Kerrville, Texas. Virginia always put her family first. She graduated from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas with a degree in Teaching, and taught school in Hunt. Virginia loved to cook, travel, research her family genealogy, play dominos, mahjong, and other family games.
She is proceeded in death by her parents LeRoy and Agnes Wheeler, Husband Robert E. Billingsley, Brother LeRoy Wheeler Jr. , Sister Leota Mae Lauby, Son-in-law Charles Murphy. Survived by Daughter Becky Ann Murphy, Daughter Gaye Lynn Skaggs (Dennis Skaggs), Son Robert Wayne Billingsley (Sandy Billingsley), Daughter Deborah Kay Tanzy, Son Jeffrey Lee Billingsley. Also 13 grandchildren and 15 Great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Friday, January 5, 2018, at Kerrville Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 9:00 am on Saturday, January 6, 2018, at Kerrville Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
