Wesley G. Platts, 71, of Kerrville, Texas, passed from this life on Friday, March 11, 2016 at a local hospital. He was born on May 3, 1944 to William R. and Viola Markle Platts in Detroit, Michigan.

Growing up in Lexington, Michigan, he eventually married the love of his life, Janyth J. Platts in 1982, uniting in Biloxi, Mississippi. After serving his community with honor, Wesley retired at the rank of Captain from the Biloxi Fire Department. Wesley was also a very active Mason, having served in many capacities and as a Past Master of the Kerrville Masonic Lodge #697, A.F. & A.M.

Preceding him in death were his parents, William R. and Viola Platts.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Janyth J. Platts of Kerrville, TX; stepson, David D. Herron of San Francisco, CA; a host of many loving friends, neighbors, and Masonic brothers who will miss his jovial personality.

Per Wesley's wishes, there will be no formal services held.
