William Dillard


William ''Bill'' Paul Dillard, 80, of Kerrville, Texas passed peacefully on Tuesday January 1, 2019 in Kerrville. He was born May 10, 1938 in Midland, Texas to J.D. and Emily Sue (Matlock) Dillard.

Bill grew up in Midland, TX and later attended Texas Christian University. He followed in his father's footsteps working for Lone Star Steel later becoming president of Wilson Supply and in 1982 founded PipeCo Inc. He led PipeCo to become an industry leader in the tubular business for over twenty years. Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing and was an avid golfer at Champions Golf Club in Houston as well as Comanche Trace in Kerrville. He cherished the numerous friendships he made over the years and will be forever missed.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, J.D. and Emily Sue Dillard and Kimberly Slator Palmer.

Those who are left to cherish his memories are his wife, Dolores ''Dee'' Ruth Slator Dillard; sons, William Paul Dillard Jr. and wife, Kimberly and Davis Marshall Dillard; stepson, Mark Douglas Slator and wife Tracy; grandsons, Travis Paul Dillard, Robert William Dillard, Brady Marshall Dillard and Justin Beall.

Friends and family will gather for a Celebration of Life Service from 4-7PM on Sunday January 13, 2019 at the Comanche Trace Clubhouse, 2801Comanche Trace Drive Kerrville, TX 78028.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made in Bill's memory to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517 Topeka, KS 66675.

Arrangements are under the direction and personal care of the professionals at Kerrville Funeral Home 830-895-5111
